Il 29 e il 30 novembre si è tenuta a Bruxelles, nella TownHall Europe, l’edizione 2022 dei Countering Disinformation Wargame. L’evento è stato promosso dal think tank Friends of Europe in collaborazione con l’European Center of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE), organizzazione internazionale autonoma nata nel 2017 a Helsinki, alla quale hanno aderito 32 Paesi, oltre a Nato e Unione Europea. Ogni anno Hybrid CoE ospita un wargame digitale, che rientra nelle attività formative per diffondere le competenze necessarie a contrastare le campagne di disinformazione. L’organizzazione si concentra soprattutto sulle “hybrid threats”, azioni di manipolazione mediatica condotte da agenzie governative o non statali, con l’obiettivo di danneggiare uno Stato o un’istituzione internazionale, influenzando i suoi organi decisionali a livello locale, regionale, nazionale o sovra-nazionale.
