meme

The misleading meme from the Democratic Party about wages against the Meloni government.

On March 25, the Democratic Party posted a misleading meme on Instagram to criticize some statements made by the Meloni government, which claimed the results achieved since its establishment. The meme shows an athlete celebrating excessively on the podium: kissing the medal, making obscene gestures, and spraying champagne in their face, only to reveal that they actually came last, not first. This meme is typically used to mock those who excessively self-congratulate despite achieving poor results. You can find the full article from Pagella Politica HERE.

No, for “Adolescence”, a white actor was not chosen to portray the crime of a black boy.

On March 20, 2025, a post was published on X about the new Netflix TV series Adolescence, “based on real events”, “which tells the story of a 13-year-old English murderer who stabbed a girl to death in Southport.” According to the post, “the real murderer is named Hassan Sentamu, a second-generation African immigrant” (shown in the first photo attached to the post), but “to play his role, they chose a white boy” (second photo in the post). The post spreads false information. On March 13, 2025, Netflix released a TV series titled Adolescence, which tells the story of how the life of a family is turned upside down when 13-year-old Jamie Miller (played by actor Owen Cooper, shown in the photo on the right of the post) is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl from his school. “We went back to double-check the vote, and all three of us made a mistake in voting.” This is how European Parliament member Cristina Guarda from Europa Verde explained a contradictory vote she and her group colleagues cast in the European Parliament regarding the rearmament plan proposed by the European Commission. On March 12, the Parliament approved a resolution on the future of European defense, which, among other things, expressed its “welcome” to the ReArm Europe plan. The four Italian parliamentarians in the “Greens/European Free Alliance” group voted against the resolution, while the majority of the group voted in favor. These parliamentarians are Cristina Guarda and Benedetta Scuderi, both members of the Europa Verde party, and Ignazio Marino and Leoluca Orlando, both elected with Alleanza Verdi-Sinistra (a coalition of Europa Verde and Sinistra Italiana), but not members of Europa Verde. Up until this point, nothing unusual happened: it’s common for
