{"id":182172,"date":"2022-09-14T15:12:08","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T13:12:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.idmo.it\/?p=182172"},"modified":"2022-09-14T15:12:11","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T13:12:11","slug":"media-literacy-in-practice-in-italy-ireland-belgium-and-luxembourg-edmo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.idmo.it\/en\/2022\/09\/14\/media-literacy-in-practice-in-italy-ireland-belgium-and-luxembourg-edmo\/","title":{"rendered":"Media Literacy in Practice in Italy, Ireland, Belgium and Luxembourg &#8211; EDMO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The interactive online seminar, organised by the European Digital Media Observatory, is part of a series of online events organised by the Media &amp; Learning Association together with EDMO to highlight specific aspects of the media literacy work of these hubs and to identify good practice that can be shared by others engaged in media literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this session, the focus will be on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ireland Hub \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/edmohub.ie\/\">Ireland Hub<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Training, resources and partnerships to promote Media Literacy across the country.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How EDMO Ireland in partnership with Media Literacy Ireland is planning to develop resources, provide training, and build partnerships with key stakeholders to promote media literacy over the next 15 months. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Belgium-Luxembourg Research Hub on Digital Media and Disinformation \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/belux.edmo.eu\/\">BELUX<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What educational materials do teachers share \/ want?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peer-to-peer websites for teachers exist in both Flanders and French-speaking Belgium. There they can exchange teaching materials with each other. Mediawijs and M\u00e9dia Animation dived into&nbsp;KlasCement.be and e-classe.be respectively to find out which teaching material about disinformation teachers share with each other, which they use a lot and which they like. This analysis gives us an indication of what kind of educational material is desirable or even what teachers really need.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Italian Digital Media observatory \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.idmo.it\/\">IDMO<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Tools to prompt media literacy to enhance decision-making<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IDMO\u2019s current and future activities aimed at building public resources and tools with a range of stakeholders to enhance media literacy.
